timing belt kits 850

Evening all, i am going to do timing belt etc on my 96 850 and my newly acquired 98 v70. Does anyone have opinions and experience with the kits from IPD or FCP? Which is considered to have the better quality parts or which brands should i avoid as i seem to remember i read a post some years ago warning of bad water pumps and bad belt tensioners but cant remember which they were. Look forward to your opinions. David

Water pumps can last more than 200K miles, if the antifreeze is flushed occasionally and replaced with quality fluid. If you do repl the pump, get OEM replacement.

The hydraulic tensioner lasts a VERY long time.
The belt and the rollers must be changed.

Both IPD and FCP carry good quality belts and rollers.

On two occasions I've used the OEM Volvo blue box kits purchased through FCP - no problems with either.
