Floor Jack Rear of 2006 AWD XC70 V70-XC70 2006

How do you lift up the back end of an all wheel drive 2006 XC70?

With most cars there is some kind a jacking point to put a floor jack under the centre rear of the car to lift the whole back end (like a big 240 differential !). NOTHING is obvious on this car. All of the suspension pickup points are the ends of arm-like frames - nothing that looks like it would be good to jack from. The differential also looks much too fragile for the job.

Any suggestions on where to place the floor jack?
Were is the best place for the jack stands?

Thanks!

Just ahead of the rear wheel and slightly inboard is a round downward elevated metal surface approximately 4-5 inches. This works well for me. Metal is heavy duty. This works well on my '04.

Yes, I've used that plate with a floor jack to jack up one side of the car.
There was still no place to put jackstands so I placed a stand under the suspension (not touching) as a safety. Other than for brake work, you can't safely work on a car this way.

I am trying to figure out how to lift the whole back end.
If I can figure out a way to get the whole back up in the air, then maybe the jackstands could go under these plates - with adapters.

Design-for-assembly is a real pain in the a$$ for service!

So - I still need suggestions: Where can I put a floor jack to lift the whole back end?

FWIW my 1998 has a tow hook in the rear that extends from the bottom of the spare tire pan. The user manual says this is a reinforced section of the pan and can be used as a jacking point. I'm not aware if the P2 cars have this reinforced section or not.

Being AWD I just drive the rear up on ramps. I have not found what I consider a good place to put jack stands. So far ramps have worked for me.
