2.5T 5 cyl. vs. 3.2 6 cyl. XC90

Looking to buy a '06 or '07 XC90 2wd and was wanting input on the newer 3.2 liter 6 cylinder vs. the 5 cylinder. I have much experience with the 5 cylinders, but none with the inline 6. I have tried to find service requirements such as timing belt for the 6, but can't find anything and was curious to know if it has service requirements like the 5. (I know to avoid the T6 model)

What about power and fuel mpg? 6 has higher power ratings, is there a difference in driving? Does fuel mileage suffer?

Currently have a '01 V70 T5 and '03 S60 2.4T. (had a 96 850 wagon and 99 V70 T5)

As always, saying thanks in advance for all the great advice, knowledge and input.

Keith

The timing belt for the 5 cyl is 120K mile intervals. The 3.2 engine has a timing chain(???) which does not need replacing.

Of course the mileage for the 5 cyl is much better than the 3.2, but the 6,000 lb truck is still bad Vs the V70 4200 lbs with better aerodynamics.

If you typically carry stuff on top of the car, watch out for garage clearance on the XC90!
