need to know part name before inspection S70 1998

What is the name of the “Y” plastic part that is between the preheater hose and the air intake hose? It is the one that houses the air box thermostat. I have modified my air intake by shutting off the preheater side. This might be an emission’s violation. Probably is. Now I have the familiar “not ready” code since changing the battery. I need to get one of those “Y” pipes before there is a more advanced “inspection” of my modification. Thanks, George

If the thermostat is still plugged in, not to worry. Because you disconnected the battery, the engine now has to 'relearn' and you will not get a 'ready' signal until various drive cycles have been completed.

I have read some of the posts about the specific drive cycles to clear the "not ready" code. These posts seem to be impossible to perform in the area I live. Should I just drive it and see if the "not ready" code clears?

Just drive it. That is all you can do. Give it about a week or so.
