850 front seat compatibility? 850

I have a 97 Volvo 850, and am wondering if the leather front seats from any of the later V or S models will fit in this vehicle. Bought this vehicle about 9 months ago and the main sore spot was the condition of the seats, although I used it as a negotiating tool and got a great price on the vehicle. When I look around boneyards at other 850s the seats are usually in the same or worse condition as mine, either that or they are the fabric (as opposed to leather, which mine are), or they are a different color leather (mine are beige) and I wouldn't tnink of mismatching them. Okay. Ears are wide open....

You can use seats from the S/V70 cars up to and including 2000. The only question I have is the seat air bag; I don't know when they went electrical. The 850 and 1998 S/V70 were mechanical.

The bottom seat covers are interchangeable, the seat back covers are not, if you find some nice passenger side covers.

The seats are easily removed, just 4 bolts. The electric seat controls are the same for all models, just the S/V70s use grey plastic instead of black.

The side airbag in the seatback was changed for the 99 model year. You can use these seats but you won't be able to connect the airbags. 98 and older all s/v 70 and 850 are all compatible.
