Changing Haldex filter and fluid V70-XC70 2004

Just an FYI, but you change the Haldex filter without removing the drive shaft or exhaust system. Did it this weekend, but it does take time and patience. I followed the advice I saw on another site. Part is about $20 and another $20 for genuine Volvo fluid.

Love it when you can save a bunch.

Dick, My wife has a 2003 XC... your experience may apply.
How many miles on the car when you did the filter change?
How did the old oil and filter look for that milage??
Where did you access the guidance (site) you used to minimize
the interferance removal.
Any other specifics welcome,
Art

Changing Haldex filter and fluid V70-XC70 2004

This car has 138K miles on it, but the car has lived in TX all its life so it looks like new, other than some mud on the under side. The filter was dirty, but not excessively so. As with all of my oil changing, I managed to get a little spread around, but cardboard under everything caught most of it.

The site where I found most of my information is volvoXC.com Filter part number is 30787687. www.volvoxc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18722

Have fun. I just used HD plastic ramps in the rear which gave me the need clearance.
