Every couple of days when I release the brake pedal theirs a hissing sound coming from the pedal. It last about 20 seconds or so. Also seems like the transmission starts shifting weird

    Your brake pedal is connected to the booster, which uses engine vacuum. There is either a leak in the vacuum line or the booster, small enough to not make much difference but it does need to be checked out. The dealer's first reaction is to replace the booster, because it costs the most, so look for a good indie that you can trust.

    The tranny does not use engine vacuum, but I wonder if the software is up to date. There are a lot of dealer supplied upgrades, some of which are supposed to be free according to Volvo, North America.
