Check Engine keeps coming back 850 95

I have an 95 850 Turbo wagon with 96,000 miles. I have a check engine indicator that keeps coming on. The computer gives an error code of 232 which I have been told is a fuel trim error. The/One of the Oxegen sensors has been replaced I have reset the code a half dozen times but the light comes back on after almast exactly 100 miles of driving. I do not know what else to check. Could it be as simple as a loose connector some ware? The error does not seem to affect drivability. Any ideas?

Re: Check Engine keeps coming back 850 95

i have seen alot of cars with this code almost always it is a air leak. the vacuum nipple on the intake behind the powersteering pump below the coolant hose if the car is cold you can put your hand on it and fill the back of it. if that is not it tell the shop to check for air leaks. good luck

Re: Check Engine keeps coming back 850 95

John,

I had that problem on my '96 and it was fixed by replacing a vacuum elbow. It is an elbow in the vacuum line near the end of the fuel rail. Check Kino's home page for details on how to replace it. The part is <$3.00 and Volvo charges >$100 to replace it.

Good luck,

Tom

Thanks Tom. I will take a look. I checked Kino's home page ,however, and saw nothing about vacuum lines there.

John.
