Call your dealer for a replacement, the parts guys will have a diagram showing how it gets attached.

The engine oil dipstick tube is just held in place with an O ring, relying on an upper bracket attached to the manifold. The tranny dipstick might be attached with a screw on collar.

After closer inspection, its not broken, but the bracket is bent. I could not get the dipstick out, and on my last mighty tug, i pulled the whole thing out of the tranny, bending the bracket. I tried to bend the bracket back, but if its not perfect the tube doesn't make a good seal,m even with a new O-ring. Like the oil stick ,the the bracket is responsible for most of the security of the tube. I ordered one from Tasca.

In the meantime, it only drips a little when braking hard, the fluid sloshes against the O-ring and drips out a bit.
      Pain in the but.
By the way, I flushed the fluid. but decided to drain the pan, refill, drive a few miles, drain again, refill etc, until i had flushed out 12 Qts. I am, reluctant to bugger with the fittings at the radiator for the proper flush.

Yes, the tube is above the full level and will only drip when braking or hard cornering.

The 'dump and fill' method works. Just a slower and less precise ATF measurement. The engine pump method, after a single dump, is much faster and less messy. Removing the hose from the radiator is no big deal, most of us will buy a replacement clamp.

You will never get that dipstick tube holder precisely correct! I am surprised that the dipstick was that hard to pull out.
