Anyone know the part number for the Haldex filter on my XC 70? This car is more complex but am learning.

Haldex is your awd system. I have not heard that it has a filter.

there are different implementations of haldex genI/II/III and volvo,vw,audi...

my my06 v70awd definitely has a fiter. Just changed 0,5L of the haldex oil (at 116kkm/5y), the total capacity is about 0,8L but I was able to sug out only 0,5L ugly old oil.

the filter cover was placed tightly, some remove prop.shaft away, I'll try later to remove (and clean the haldex pump) to give more space to work.

Count me as surprised. We have a 2003 XC and was completely unaware of the filter and pump. The forward housing was drained and new haldex oil installed at 75K miles. Next time I have the splash shield off I will look to match the
pictures provided by Tapsa.
Does anyone know if the 2003 XC haldex model used the pump and filter and is it at the fwd or aft end of the drive shaft assembly.

According to Tapsa's write up, it is in the rear, between the shaft and differential.

Quite sure it has the filter also. Just learned my '04 had it from snooping around on the internet. Tapsa fortunately has all the goodies and web sites plus the part number which I wanted. Getting to it may cause these old bones a little problem, but I persist.

Google Haldex filters and changing them and you will find a lot of information. This is a common unit in Europe and VW and Audi recommend regular changes.
