Driver door lock and window module S70

My driver door look no longer works. I can open and close the windows but cant lock the doors
Does this indicate the door lock/window module is dead? I recall replacing this 6 years ago but at that time one of the window buttons died
I suppose the only good news is that the FOB still works to lock the doors. Dont want someone running off with my brick!

Sounds like the door window switch is getting corroded 'again'. The fact that the doors lock with the remote is a good sign. I don't think I have EVER used the inside door lock switch on any of my Volvos, as per Volvo instructions which emphatically state that locking of the doors while driving is not a good idea - if you crash it is harder for rescue personnel to get everyone out of the car.

You might want to rock the door lock switch about 10X and see if the contact area cleans itself off.

      Hi Klaus,
Thank you for your response. I am happy to report that for some reason my door locks are working again. I cant figure out what happened?

Well my wife doesnt like like an unlocked car when she is sitting and reading or just waiting. She probably watched alot of those scary movies where someone gets into your car in the darkened parking garage at night. Either way she doesnt like it and insisted i fix it.

check the passenger side door lock switch. They sometimes stick in the lock or unlock position and it overrides the driver side and the fuel door release. Just rock it back and forth to make sure it's in the centered position
