cruise control 850

HI All:

Got my car back from the shop having the heater core coupling at the firewall replaced and hooked back up (i just couldn't figure out how to get the gas peddle off) and now the cruise control doesn't work.

I took the battery out and looked under the tray at the controller there and only saw one vacuum line running to it a short black one that connects to the hood release assembly. I didn't see any other lines just hanging around. Does this have two vacuum lines hooked up to it? I also looked at the gas peddle and it seems to be hooked up right.......

There was no need to remove the gas pedal to replace the heater core or the 2 lines to the firewall. That is only for some of the newer model cars.

There is a vacuum line behind and above the brake pedal, attached to the CC switch. Make sure it is in place. There is another line that goes from the brake to the gas pedal.

The vacuum pump, not controller, is under the battery tray. The line you found goes from the pump to the brake pedal.

      Thanks Klaus....

I think when I took off the panel under the steering wheel I caught the fog light wires and I have one small red wire hanging down now that goes to a spade plug somewhere....I now think this is the problem but will check the brake peddle and swap relays....
