94 n/a 850 850

Last night I replaced the spark plug wires on my 1994 n/a 850 and while I was at it, I replaced all the fuel injectors. Now when I try to start it the engine turns over but won't start. I put the old injectors back in thinking that may be the issue, but to no avail. I don't think it's the fuel pump since when I swamped out the injectors there was fuel in each. Also, I recently changed out the cam position sensor with a used one. Would the cam position sensor throw a code for me to review. Any help would be much appreciated.

Check the plug wires at the distributer. The firing order is 1,3,5,4,2, with #3 at 12:00 o'clock.

hi, yes the cam.pos.sensor gives a code if bad.
wiring the plugs is tricky, best to do one by one not to mess up.
also seen discussion on some quides giving misleading info on this.
According to vadis it is 1,2,4,5,3 for B5254FS n/a engine.

Incorrect plug wiring 850

The 5 cyl engines are all the same for plug wires. The firing order is 1,3,5,4,2. With #3 being at 12:00 position.

The Haynes manual is WRONG.

Are you sure the wires got replaced in the correct order? Firing order and cylinder number are not the same. The coil wire is firmly seated in both the coil and the cap and the injectors are plugged in, correct?
