No power getting to cooling fan S80 1999

My S80's fan was dead. Replaced it with a tested used one.. still doesn't work. Found that the purple wire is carrying no voltage. Looks like the ECM isn't providing power to the fan. What are my options? ECM replacement?

I had the same symptom on my V70 and years ago on my 850. Check the power supply wire [hot line] that runs to the starter. Both my cars had wires that had rotted over the years and basically broke off the terminal. I ran a hotline direct to relay from battery with a 30A inline fuse, and we were good-to-go. Be sure to use proper heavy guage wiring.

Thanks for the advice, after a while of chasing this down, I found that the purple wire from the fan to the computer was broken.
