03 XC70 rear wiper arm

Hi,
While replacing the rear wiper blade the small fragile plastic tab(one of two) on the arm snapped off. Does this now mean that I`ll have to replace the whole arm or can I just get that section of the wiper arm?
It`ll cost a bundle if I have to get a new arm via dealersahip & there are no Volvo`s in parts yards around here.

    I really dislike the design the new cars have for the rear wiper. Why can't they just make them like the front window?

    Measure the width of the arm and the length of the blade. Go to a local autoparts store and see if they have a blade that will fit the smaller arm. You are looking for the new style blade with the tensioner spring inside the rubber.

    After verifying that the new style blade fits the arm, go for broke! Destroy all of the plastic until you have just the metal arm left and attach the new style blade.

    Otherwise, start calling junk yards in Eastern Canada.
