Door Panels V70-XC70

I have a 1998 v70 and the door panels have the usual separation with the leather and they have a few tears in them. I am definitely going to replace them, but I wanted to know if the 2001 V70 panel would fit. Also, I really like the cupholders in the 2001 center console and was wondering if that would fit in the 98 v70 as well. Has anyone tried this swap? Just wondering if its a viable option.

Door Panels V70-XC70

Hello, The door panels from a P1 fitting the doors of a P2 would be unbelievable news. The 2001 panels will not fit. The center console sits on the floor and the screw holes to the floor would have to match as well as the mating to the forward part of the console. Having the panels recovered and simply adding a cup holder is the way to go. The console (and interior in general) is very cheap plastic in my opinion. Mine creaks a lot. If the gear range selector lever were on the dash I swear I'd rip it out and build something useful out of covered plywood. Kira

2001 was a complete change and they will not fit. Your best bet is to take the door panel off, cut out the glued in center section, and then have a shop remove the old vinyl and replace it with something better.

Use good glue and put the center section back in place.

If a local junk yard has door panels from a V70R (98-00), grab the whole door panels. The centers are leather and do not separate.
