      I haven't looked at DiCE prices on ebay in a long time.. It seems you can pick up Vadis and Dice (software and tool) for under $250. That's almost reasonable!

    IF you get vadis, you have to get a volvo connector (vct2000 or dice) to plug it into your car. IF you can get the connector, its the best option.

    A laptop with a cable beats a handheld any day. Some software programs will give you access to things other than the engine/tranny computers.

      Sorry to interrupt, but can you explain the difference in the various VADIS types?

      For example, which I search ebay for "volvo vadis", there are numerous listings for VADIS A, B, C, and D dvd sets. Does the VADIS letter matter?

        The letters changed with model years. Not sure which is which. The VADIS system is now known as VADA.

        There is a chap on eBay that has the software for up through model year 2010 for sale. Just do a search for VADA.
