2000/v40 -->> rough idle and "shakey

Recently my v40 check engine light has come on and I am experiencing increasingly difficult starting. Idle seems rough, and when I accelerate at certain speeds, there is a very noticable shake/judder feeling.

I got the codes read last night, and they are:

P0455 = EVAP large leak detected

P0303 = Cylinder missfire detected - cylinder #3

I've heard that coil-packs on these can go bad, but what other areas/systems might I check?

Thanks for any pointers out there!

Would also suggest cleaning the IAC valve, MAF sensor and throttle body.

Was telling Klaus that I had a shop check things out and had some things replaced. Will see how that improves things, and will consider cleaning these items also, just for good measure, thanks.

The 455 will not effect driving, but will slow you down when you get emmissions tested.

Move the coil pack to another cylinder. If the code moves to the new cylinder, you need a new coil.

coil packs (thought there were just two?)

I haven't dove into where the coil packs are yet, but I thought it was my understanding that there are only two coil packs -- one coilpack per two cylinders? I also thought that they were not interchangable?

It's too late anyway however, as I had the car checked out and the recommended fixes were two new coil packs and a new fuel-pressure-regulator. I go to pick it up today, so we'll see how that effects things. Hopefully it will take care of the EVAP and MISSFIRE CODES and it will idle smoother!...
