Say you have a S70 with steel wheels and wheel covers. Any thoughts on a good place to purchase used OE aluminum alloy wheels without dropping a wad?

Not sure about the lug pattern and wheel diameter sizes. I assume the base S70 came with 15" wheels. Can you put 16" or larger alloys on this car?

Reputable junk yards, craigslist (auto parts), and flea bay. The alloys were 16in, 17in for the R, so your tires won't fit. But a great excuse for putting snows on the steelies and summer tires for the alloys.

Call Jimmy Long's Junkyard in Hillsboro, TN. They have fields of Volvos (nothing but) and a pile of alloy wheels (pegasus, virgo, you name it) you couldn't jump a show horse over. If you are anywhere in the Southeast, it is worth a trip. Reasonable prices. They are 1.5 miles off I-24 East at exit 117.

If you must have OEM, try Erie Vo-vo for used. You can also buy new for the price of used at Tire Rack, but they won't be OEM.

Most alloys are 16" which will fit nicely. This is a good excuse to put snows on the winter tires and use the alloys for salt free work.

Craigslist and junk yards. If there are tires on the rims, ask for a discount for taking them off. Don't bother with Ebay, the shipping is just too much.
