Where is the cabin filter? V70-XC70 2000

It's time for the 15,000 service (I'm doing it myself). Where can I find the cabin filter, and how hard it is to remove/replace?

Hope Rich K.'s Bay 13 answered your question...the pollen filter is very easy to get to and replace. Depending on where you live I would suggest replacement sooner than 15K. I did ours at 10K and it was completely FILTHY - I plan to do it every 8K or so from now on.

Ram, I replaced my pollen filter at 10000 miles, and it was also very dirty. I live in the NYC Metro area....you know a lot of time in the Lincoln Tunnel, and NYC stop and go. I also replaced my engine air filter at 10K....it was not what you would call clean, but I could have got another 2.5K-5K out of it. Still, both are now on a 10K mile limit.

I am quite anal about matainance.....I also have my(chances are still perfect)Mobil-1 and OEM oil filter changed every 2500 miles!

The Volvospeed/bay13 link below has a post on the cabin filter (on your car it is a pollen filter), the S/V40, S80,60 have cabin filters inside the air box that filter the air constantly, the pollen filter only works when you are not in rect. mode.(allowing out side air in)
