Good day all, discovered a oil leak from the oil filler neck that meets to the head. As anyone had this problem before? What can I do to sove this issue? Thanks to all that respond.


1999 V70 T5 123k miles

    Most of the oil leaks in that area are due to the gasket in the cap getting too brittle with age. The gasket should be replaced every 2 years at a maximum, I like to do it once a year.

      Klaus, I sat and observed the oil filler cap, and no leaks. I did see oil leaking from the bottom of the filler neck, where the neck meets the head. Can I braze around the bottom of the foil filler neck?

        I don't doubt your eyes, I have just never heard of the neck coming loose.

        I don't weld, so I cannot comment as to brazing aluminum.
