Dash lights 850 97

Hello to everyone! I have a curious problem with my car. When I start the car and it is cold sometimes all the dash lights come on all at once, just for an instant. They might flicker 5 or 10 times. It doesn't happen when it is warm. Hard one to put your finger on, as it only happens occasionally. Any ideas???

P.s. I love this car!!

    You may have a defective or otherwise unhappy headlight switch. You can pull it from the dash and give its innards a good cleaning, this may help elliminate the problem. If you always have your headlight switch in the on position, with the ignition off, cycle the switch 10 or so times as this may clean the contacts without pulling things apart. If this doesn't work, you may want to look into the dimmer "slider" switch.

      If it is the headlight then check to see if your VIN# is included in the recall. I was getting erroneous light indications also, but the headlight switch replacement seems to have them resolved. Check with your dealer.
