Car Stalled! S40-V40 2000

This afternoon crossing the GW Bridge into heavy traffic car died. First the radio and then the engine. Tried to restart it and didnt work . Second try some 2 min later and the car started with difficulty. I was able to drive home (about ten/twelve miles) with no problem. I drove with the a/c off and the radio also off.
Like I said I was into heavy traffic for a while with outside temperature in low 90's.
When I got home I noticed the radio didnot work as it needed the code (as when you disconnect the battery) and since it was the first thing to die leads me to believe I had an electical failure that lead to the engine stall. Am I right?
Where should I look into? Battery condition, alternator output? Any other ?
Your comments /advice greatly appreciated. Tks

Check and clean the battery posts. Clean the wires so they shine! The GW is nothing but 1 big pot hole and the bumps could have caused the wires to the battery to be dislodged.

While the engine runs on alternator, the computers use the battery and computers run the fuel injection.
