House painters painted my car

I had my house painted last week. I just washed my car today and noticed little tiny drops of house paint on the hood, fenders, front bumper and less on the roof.
I need GOOD sugestions!! Black cars don't look good with beige paint drips.

I had this happen to me once where I worked. I believe I used paint thinner (that's mineral spirits, NOT acrylic reducer), then soap and water to remove the oily thinner residue, then wax it.

Or you might try some of that stuff that removes road tar, etc., which I believe is nothing more than kerosene.

Every day that passes makes the job tougher.

House painters painted my car UPDATE

I just talked to a collision shop, body repair shop, and detail center. All three said no to OOPS!, stating it will mess with the clearcoat. The collision and repair shops told me to try the detail center first.

The detail center said I could use OOPS if I had a light color car, but not on black. They will do it for $120, including the rest of the car and wheels.

I talked to the painter, he told me to send him the bill.

First suggestion is contact the painters. Are they insured, therefore capable of paying for it to be done right?

If not, I'd try some fine polishing compound (probably start on the bumper...) and see if you can rub it out. Maybe try clay bar.

The painter made good and paid for an exterior detail, $150. Detailers got the paint off, but they also put that shiney junk on the wheels!!!

      Just can't please me...

Of course I called the painters, after trying paste wax. He is stopping by with a can of "OOPS!". I will give it a try, otherwise I will go to a detailer and give the bill to the painter.

I'd worry that the "OOPS" might be hard on your clearcoat. I've had good luck putting a hot wet washcloth on the paint spot, then pushing the paint off with the round edge of a plastic spoon (I used ones from Ikea with a thick rounded edge-- wash carefully before returning it to the child!).

        Good luck!
