So its your turbo control valves signal missing, likely intermittently. There are a few causes, and if you've got a few minutes and a multimeter we can test it and see what the problem is. Most likely the connection is loose/corroded, but working through everything takes all of 5 minutes so might as well rule everything out..
So first thing is to connect a voltmeter between pin 1 (pins facing you, the one on right..) and the ground with the ignition on (engine off..) should have battery voltage. If not you've got a short between that wire and the main relay (located on the radiator fan shroud). Assuming its correct, check pin 2 to see the voltage in it, should read 6V. If its not ~6V you've got a short between that wire and the computer. So if its correct, turn the key off and check resistance between the pin one and two. It should be about 24Ohms when the engine is cold. If that's good too then its the connection, so make sure its seated properly. If not, then try a new turbo control valve.
The valve is down past the intake hose.

If you're not driving it "like its stolen," are you really driving?
