Broken dashboard clips S70 1998

I have a 98 S70 that is emitting horrendous noise from the right side of the dashboard when driving over bumps.

Upon closer examination, it has been discovered that the dashboard clips that secure the dash have broken. The dealer informs me that the only real solution is to replace the dashboard. This vehicle is likely worth $1500 and I cannot justify installing a new dashboard which may cost as much as the vehicle is worth.

Does anyone have a solution or work around for securing a dashboard with broken clips? The noise is driving me nuts.

The vehicle otherwise is in excellent shape. I just want to get another couple of years of service out of it before scrapping it.

98 S70 200,000 miles on the clock and it runs like a charm.

This is for an 850. The S70 dash removal screws are in different but close positions. The top of the dash speaker covers pull up and off, the speakers come off if you push the plastic pin down and then lift up. There is a screw near the speaker.

    Lots of work...
