I cannot open the hood to my v40 I got into an accident and the hood seems as though it wants to open but trying to push the latch wont let me open it. What should I try to do?

Ask for some help. You want someone to pull the release lever while someone else pushes and then lifts the hood.

I probably did not mention that it is a v40 and the latch is now under the hood and i tried moving it with a screwdriver and the latch would move but not open do you have he same suggestion for that

Same. Push on the latch while someone else pushes down and then up on the hood. A mess, I know.
