2006 V70R Pricing and Repairs V70-XC70 2006

I'm looking to purchase an '06 or '07 V70R with about 50K miles. What should i be expecting to pay (edmunds is saying around 17-18K), and what mechanical issues should I be on the lookout for? Thanks in advance!!

The price is totally dependent on the region you live in. The only problem that I know of is the center hanger for the exhaust must be removed, it has a tendancy to scrape on the driveshaft when the suspension is bottomed out. The dealers were made aware of this.

Get a 6 speed manual, it is much more fun than an auto. Make sure there is maintenance history, and read it before you buy. All oils are synthetic. The bevel gear/transfer case fluid does need to be flushed at 50K mile intervals, the rear diff at 100K, and auto tranny fluid at around 50K.

The timing belt is 105K.

The R does come with sport suspension which is lower than normal, and Nivomat shocks in the rear. Be very careful with parking lot concrete bumpers and curbs. You might want to check the bottom of the front bumper.
