Brake fluid leaking V70-XC70

Fluid is leaking out around were you fill the fluid and on that silver thing with all of ye brake lines coming out of it. Does anyone know what the fix is for that and what did I do to brake that.

All you did was replace the pads? And now the pads do not move and you get fluid spewing out of the filler cap and on to the ABS module?

I replaced the rear pads and front pads and roders. After I finished and put it back together it started to leak brake fluid. I am going to bleed the brakes bc that's cheap and easy I will start there.

It's quite possible that you do not have a problem. When you replaced 4 sets of pads, compressing the caliper piston each time, you might have just pushed too much fluid back into the reservoir and it over flowed.

After changing the pads, your pedal should go down a lot because the pistons are homing themselves. A couple of pushes on the pedal are required to get the pads back to the rotors. This is normal.

After I bleed the brakes and test drove it the is still a problem. At low speeds under 10. There is a rubbing sound going from the front and during the test drive smoke was coming off the passenger front. Also when making a left turn there is a rubbing sound but not when you turn right. Everything else is normal. I have never had this problem before with any of my volvos.

Wow. Pull a front tire and find out what is rubbing. Block the rear wheel so you can have it in neutral so you can turn the wheel. The inner brake pad might not be fully seated in the caliper piston.

Is the rotor touching the caliper bracket? If so, the rotor is not seated against the hub completely.
