Yellow Lable ETM Throttle Body 1999 V70-XC70

I am going to clean the ETM Throttle body on my 99 V70, and if that doesnt correct the occasional hesitation, I am going to replace it with one of 2 other units I have. My question is what does the yellow label mean as far as the cars computer? I have one without a label and one with a yellow label. The car was into Volvo for the ETM recoding only a short while ago while it was still with the previous owner. They did not affix a label to the throttle body. I read somewhere that the yellow lable TB can only be installed by a dealer as it needs programming to make it work? Is this true? And if not true which is the better unit to install?

Swapping ETMs require a dealer download, so your ETMs on the shelf will no longer work. The yellow one is the newer version.

    hello,
yellow label means the throttle was replaced at some point.
you cannot swap throttle bodies, every etm is paired (electronically) to the computer.
if you do swap throttles, Volvo will need to upgrade the software so that it will function properly.
cleaning the throttle can cause more problems than it may solve. personally, I notice hesitation when my 99 is cold, and sometimes the idle acts funny, but until it starts limping, I won't touch the throttle.
for the money, xemodex is worth it if it becomes unbearable.
    good luck.
