CV boot tear V70-XC70 1998

I noticed a tear in one of my CV boots. Not too bad, but visible. What are my options? Has anyone dealt with this issue before?

Best and easiest fix is to replace the axle. Replacing just the boot requires just as much work and usually only lasts 1 year.
