Hi,

Another little quirk.

I'm headed down the freeway, I take an exit, that has a sharp bend to the right. So, I'm going around this sharp bend which is on a incline, and just as soon as I start coming out of the turn, I press the brakes to eventually stop at the light, and when I press the brake, it feels like it's popping, it jerks like three times, as if the brakes were filled with air and it miss fired three times. It's done this twice now, on the same off ramp. Is this a sign of low brake fluid? I have my car serviced regularly, so I'm assuming the brake fluid level is good, but I will have it checked.

    Check the front brake lines for cracking and softness. You might be getting uneven pressure. Remove the slide pins, clean them off real good and grease them with silicone brake grease.

    The level check is easy enough. Just open the hood and look at the reservior next to the firewall, right in front of the steering wheel.

    When is the last time your brake fluid was flushed? 3 years is about max.

    Check the brake pad thickness. If you have an allen wrench, remove the claiper slide pins and clean/regrease them.

      Hi,

      It was fairly normal pressure on the brake pedal. I wasn't coming to a stop yet, just slowing down around a fairly sharp bend on the off ramp from a freeway. It defintaely didn't feel like the ABS engaging, it was different than that.
