Repair Guide - Source and recommendation 850 1997

I pick up my white 1997 850 GLT (all options save for TRACS)in a couple of days. I'm already checking prices on the side marker light kits...

I'd like to obtain recommendations on preferred repair manuals from those that have opinions. I definitely need to get one, but I want to get a good one. Also, if available on-line please provide the retailer's address. On-line shopping preferred...

Thanks very much,

Barry

The Haynes manual from either Amazon, IPD, or you local auto parts store is a good place to start. Some items are glossed over but it covers routine maintenance fairly well. I think it's good to have for $14 or whatever it costs.

I got my Chilton's from www.carparts.com . It's not the greatest manual in the world, though. If you want the best, you have to order all the volumes of manuals from Volvo (not cost effective for anyone other than shop owners and Jerry Seinfeld (who drove a Saab anyway).

Are these manuals the UK version or are they ones for US cars?

US I think. I actually don't recall anything in there stating it either way. And being from USA, (NY no less), I naturally assumed that this manual, like everything else in the world, was made for me ;-)

I actually think it would be good enough for either country. I personally find the manual to be crap, but better than nothing and worth the $25 bucks, barely.
