Does any one know how to remove the PTC nipple from the fresh air hose to the turbo? Thank you

The fresh air hose has to come out of the car. The nipple is held in by a rubber grommet, which can be forced up and out of the hose, just be very careful. The replacement requires the entire hose $.

Thanks for your reply. I didn't mention the year but this is a 2002. I removed the fresh air hose to get a look inside. The nipple has a large square block on both sides of the tbe wall. It almost looks like it is way to large to come out. I bought a new nipple and it looks the same as the old but without the large square block attached. This block is very brittle. Do you know if the inside half seperates from the outside half?
      Thanks Again
