I also have a 1992 acura integra. A while back I had a neighbor that is a ammco technitian install a sachs clutch kit. The clutch was super hard to depress when I got it back. He said it was fine. About six months later it started getting hard to shift. I adjusted the clutch cable and it shifted better. This same process repeted for about a few months. I could no longer adjust the cable. Now the clutch will not release. I cannot shift out of first. If I start car in gear it takes off. It has a brand new cable so the cable is not streached out. I know I should have taken it to a shop, but I thought I could trust this guy. I wonder if didn't replace the release bearing even though I paid for one. What do you guys think the problem is?

Call your neighbor. Ask him if he used aftermarket cable or throwout bearing. If he runs a 'reputable' shop, then he should fix his mistake.

This is why I dislike 'chain' repair shops.
