Replacement Oil Filter V70-XC70 2001

Does anyone know what aftermarket companies manufacture an oil filter that will fit a 2001 V70 T5. When I check web sites like Fram and AC Delco they do not list Volvo at all. I would like to do my own oil changes using Castrol Syntec oil. I live in Southern California and this is my first Volvo.

Far as I know, the filters for your car are only OEM (at least at this time), so go to your friendly dealer.

In my opinion, you'd be better using AMSOIL or Mobil 1 than Castrol Syntec.

You may want to try Wix brand filters. I have used them for years on all of my cars with no problems. I am not sure that they make them for your car or not though. I have not used them on my 850 T5 yet as the car came with 10 new Volvo filters from the previous owner. BTW, the filters are only $6.50 each from the dealer. May not be worth the headache looking for a different filter to save $2.00. You also may be able to get a wholesale price from the local dealer if you buy 5 or so at a time.

Why not just buy Volvo OEM or (Mann OEM for Volvo) in bulk. shop around at the parts dealers on the net for the best price.

FWIW: I would use only Volvo OEM oil filters on my car.
