Three Alternators and One Transmission- less than 50k Miles 850 1995

I have just had the second alternator put in, in less than six months. I am concerned I am going down a path of no return! This problems is like the Pontiac Grand Am I had 14 years ago. I swore then never to own a GM again, and I haven't.

This is a 1995 850 GLT that I purchased with only 36k miles. The transmission went out at 38k miles. Although this is under "extended warranty" I am getting frustrated with the problems. I really like this car....but

the Dealer is telling me, "sometimes this stuff happens/" Any advice/comments on key components I can follow up on to see what else is wrong? I had a Volvo specialist (and not the dealer)look before I bought.

    what was the transmission doing?

    See my post reply "Re: transmission fault" for my story, regarding my 850 which has the same miles on it. A fluid flush fixed it.

    ask the shop what the voltage drop of the positive battery cable is.

    If it is over.2 of a volt repair the [solder] battery end of the cable !!!

    May be now no more bug.... it all fix.... I just think you will be ok...

    sorry with all the trouble.. but if you don't are comfortable with the car than time to sell...

    Only keep any car if you like it...
