Auto-dimming mirror V70-XC70 2001

My 'auto-dimming' rearview mirror is stuck on 'dimmed'--a liveable problem and
appreciated at night. Still...has any 'boarder' experienced this, and how'd you fix it ?

you need buy a used one, preferably '04 or newer.

Replace the mirror portion of the replacement mirror into your old UEM circuit board.

A straight swap won't work, because the rear view mirror contains the UEM that controls the cars security and sunroof. Without the original UEM the car won't start.
