Windshield wiper motor 850 1995

I replaced the wiper motor and the wiper blades stop in the middle of the windshiel...is there an alignment tool or method to reposition the blades correstly?

Remove both wiper arms, run the wipers once so the motor comes to a stop at its normal resting position. Then attach the arms according to the marks on the bottom of the windshield.

This assumes that the wipers are going too far already and returning to only 1/2 way.
