Getting a rattle from the RF area over bumps. Replaced the swaybar links, and looked for obviously loose parts to no avail.

Any ideas?

    Upper spring mount rubber? Easy to check: Get a large wrench or slip joint pliers and try turning the large nut at the top of the strut clockwise. If it turns easily or does not 'bounce' back, get ready to replace the mount.

      Klaus: You were exactly right! I've ordered replacements from Groton.

      I assume you just remove the swaybar link, the top mounting nuts, and the suspension can be dropped enough to access the strut. Correct?

        This is a good tutorial for struts. Watch out for the ABS sensor connected to the strut. The 1998 has a plastic pin that gets pushed out to let the sensor come off, do not loose the pin!
