Drivability Problem S60 T5 S60

My "new-to-me" '01 S60 T5 w/ 103k miles hesitates/surges on acceleration when I am using light throttle pressure. If it were a carburetted engine, I'd say it was jetted too lean.

Under moderate or heavy acceleration, no hesitation or surging is noted at all.

No MIL Codes are produced.

Any ideas?

Drivability Problem S60 T5 S60

I have the same exact issue with mine. I just had the fuel pump replaced (recall) and I replaced the fuel filter as well. I also cleaned the throttle body. All of these tasks seemed to reduce the frequency of the issue but it still happens.

Thanks for your help.

Mike

Do you know old the spark plugs and air filter are?
If not, I would start there

That is a good idea, only because I did it yesterday. :-) The car does run better but the issue remains the same.

Mike
