Spotted in Junkyard . . . 850

Factory foglight setup.

I had to replace my front bumper cover at one point, and went to pick one up at the junkyard.

Coincidentally, they had just gotten-in a T5, which had the front bumper cover with factory foglights.

I was able to get the whole configuration, including bumper cover, lights, switches, relays, etc. for $45.

I regularly stop by the three Pick'n'Pull yards in the Chicago area and none other of the 850s I have seen over the past two years have had the factory foglights.

Was up at the Wadsworth location this past weekend and they just got in a '96 with that foglight arrangement, complete with the switch and all of the relays.

Just wanted to alert anyone in case they wanted this upgrade.

The car is white, so you will have to have the bumper repainted to your car's color if your car is not white.

Just as a reminder, can you please give any details you have on what relays are required, and where in the car they are supposed to go. I have read a few things on this but always end up confused about what components are required and where they go in the car, and how to tell if you have the right ones or not...

Three relays. Actually one is a plug jumper which fits in one of the relay slots, and the other two are actual relays.

Plug jumper is marked 9148991 and one relay is marked 9148880 and the other is marked 9130269.

All are mounted on the relay rack accessible from inside the car, under the driver's side kick panel.

My '96 base model had all the wiring already in the car, as I suspect they all did. So all you really need is the bumper cover, the fog lights, the three relays and the dashboard switch.

I will check my parts manual tonight but I remember having to make several trips back to the yard to get the relays. Will let you know.
