Sunroof won't close S70 1999

My wife drove my son's S70 yesterday and left the sunroof open over night and outside. We had a heavy dew and this morning when my son started to close it, it would go all the way forward, then reverse and open again.

I have moved it into my garage and am letting it set to make sure it drys out.

Anyone have any thoughts on what is going on?

Check the slide area for twigs, etc. Then check to see if the pop up wind deflector can be pushed down easily. If not, grease it with white lithium grease or a little oil so that it moves freely.
