headlight lens source 850 95

Hi!

I, unfortunately, got a rock thru the headlight lens of my 95 850. Caleed the dealer this am & got a serious attack of sticker shock. I was told the whole unit has to be replaced at a cost of $435. Cdn. I have since checked out IPD & just the lens glass is available at $145.US. Is there yet another source for this part at less cost? Believe me, I`ll be investing in headlight cover protectors soon!!!

    I have an 94 850 right front head light assembly with a small chip in the lens - could be easily fixed or use it as is. I bought a whole new assebly because I could not find a lens. I will sell you the one I have for $50 + shipping if it will help. I know there are seveal light styles so if you know the part # i can look it up. Guy

    Rich, I had a stone go through my wife's 95 850 as well. I went to eBay and found one for $80 from Swedish Imports. I believe the price is about $90 now but it's the real deal, new gasket, clips and OEM glass. Takes about 20 minutes start to finish. BTW, don't try and clean the reflector with anything other than a soft brush. The vapor deposited chrome is very thin and will rub off easily. Go to eBay, 850 GLT and you should find the offering.
