Automatic Shift Nob S70 98

Mine is a grey plastic ugly looking thing, 98' T-5a. Was wondering if anyone knew of a place to get a nice walnut replacement, and how complicated the change out would be? Also, any ballpark $$$ estimates?

thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Tim

Tim,

Pull the old knob off, push the new knob on.

Re: Automatic Shift Nob S70 98

Tim,

I recently went to my Volvo Dealership Accessories part, as I was trying to get one for my GLE too. Here are the prices ( in Cdn $ ):

Leather - $ 145 ( If you install it yourself )

- $ 163 ( If they install it )

Wood - $ 254 ( Install it yourself )

- $ 272 ( If they install it )

Contacted a Momo distributor here in Canada. Momo doesn't make much automatic shift knob. Limited selection.

My dealership's Accessories Dept Manager is trying to get hold of a the leather automatic shifter knob that is standard in the V70R for me.

I might go down to one of the junkyard one day to see whether I could pick up one up from an accident Volvo for a cheaper price.

Hope this helps !

Re: Automatic Shift Nob S70 98

Tim,

Check with (www.volvoparts.com/), they are relatively new. They claim they can get all the parts to build a car. I purchased from them and my experience with Don the parts man was excellent. As an example I priced a Volvo Accessory "engine protector" at the dealers in Santa Fe and Albuquerque and they wanted $185.00 and $179.00 respectively. Volvoparts.com sold it to me for $125.00 plus $10.00 UPS.

Hope this helps.

Re: Automatic Shift Nob S70 98

Tim, Volvo has a few OEM units that they sell. You can see them in any of the last three years accessories catalogs......wood, leather, wood/leather combo, etc. I dont have a price, but if you like I could look up the Volvo P/N’s.

There are also aftermarket models such as MOMO that can be had.
