camshaft timming marks S70 1998

I am having a hard time figuring what timing marks tare correct.
98 engine with mechanical tensoner is it the 12 oclock marks or the old style marks. the plastic looks old style and so were the marks prior to disasembly
however tensoner was in pieces so no way to know for sure. serial number says new style but the sticker is over a some hat smaller one. any ideas would be
appreciated.
Thank You

You have a 1998 with a mechanical tensioner? That is the newer style. But the cam timing marks are still the same. They point to the notch in the top of the plastic cover. Exhaust is at about 11:30 and intake at 12:30.

Just like all of the 850 engines and the early 1998.

The problem seems to be that the part of the rear cover
that has the timing marks on it was sawed off by the timing belt
working off the sprockets
