Any rear spring seat problems on these S60's ?... S60 2007

My daughter, who is 3,000 miles away in L.A., told me that she had started hearing a disconcerting clunking sound in the rear of her purchased-new, 2007 S60 2.5T. It only has about 12,000 miles, and has been driven solely in the L.A. area (city streets and local freeways).

I told her to bring it in right away (her warranty expires next month), and they promptly fixed it same day! They told her that it was her right rear spring seat -- and the promptness indicates to me that they had a supply of the parts on-hand instead of ordering it and having to wait to get the part overnight.

So I'm wondering if there is a history of this problem occurring on these cars?

Thanks.

Spring seats are inter-changeable between models. Your daughter is the first to report this as a problem on the BB.

Thanks, and happy that she probably won't have this problem again.... S60 2007

      Hi Klaus.

As always, I'm grateful for your input.
And glad this is probably a one-time incident, not only because she's going off warranty in a month (she can afford it more easily than I can) but that I don't have to worry about her safety (she's married, but still my little girl :-).

      Best regards,
