I've got a line on, and want to swap a running 1998 B5254S engine into a 2000 S70 that has a non-working vin 61, B5244. Anyone know if that is possible, easy, difficult?

Difficult. The head on a 2000 is totally different with electronic throttle and VVT.

Just wondering here, If you brought the throttle and controls from the 98 over would it still be a huge deal?
