High rev Transmission shift ( Perodic) V70-XC70 1998

About 10% of the time the tranmission will not shift until the engine reaches 3200 (or so)RPM's.
Just started about 5k miles after I flushed the tranny (Per IPD kit and instructions) I assume that had nothing to do with it.
FYI it has 105K and the check engine light is on for H20 sensors- is that the problem?
Thanks
Jeff

When you flushed, did you only flush 2 quarts at a time? Waiting until bubbles appear in the plastic line could have introduced air to one of the pumps, which is not a good thing.

Check the level with a hot engine and make sure the ATF is at the full mark or even slightly higher.

Did you use DexMecIII or synthetic?

Yes I did only do 2 quarts at a time- I have done this before. Yes I used the DexMecIII - should I do it again?
Thanks
Jeff

My 940 was doing the same. It was the kickdown cable that needed adjustment. Now it is smooth shifting.

FWD may be different ..not sure.

Hope this helps.

Newer cars don't use a kickdown cable, the down shift is all electronic.
