99 S70 AWD dies - best way to dispose?

Head gasket let loose on my 99 S70 AWD last week and took out the heater core, radiator and obviously the head gasket (coolant in cyl 3&4). Repair estimate is more than I care to invest so I will be parting with my latest stable mate.

Question is - car has 168,000 but is in really good condition and has new tires, brakes, and struts so selling it to a junk yard would be a waste. Don't have the time to part this one out, so considering putting it on eBay as a mechanics special but wanted some advice from the board.

Thank you all

The search for a replacement is already underway.

Oliver

Parts car/mechanic special should go for around $1000. List it at $1200, along with all of the new mechanical parts and see if you get any responses.

This is Twin Cities pricing, East coast might be higher. An used engine is around $750 + money for labor to remove/install the engine at about 10 hours.

Thank you Klaus. Local indy mechanic was saying engine swap was more in the 18 - 20 hour range which seemed pretty high.
